PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
NATtrolTM products are prepared from highly purified infectious viruses, isolated from either cell culture or the plasma of infected individuals. Once purified, the virus is chemically and enzymatically treated to alter its surface proteins. This treatment results in a completely intact viral particle that is unable to bind, penetrate or infect a host cell. This particle while modified on its surface, still retains a complete viral genome in its core, making it the ideal control for all steps of amplification assays.

RECOMMENDED USAGE
NATtrolTM products are used as controls and calibrators for PCR, TMA, Branched Chain DNA and other NAT assays.

STORAGE AND STABILITY
Stable for 24 months at 2-8°C.

CAUTION
Human Source Material used in the manufacture of this product has been tested and found to be negative for HBsAg, antibodies to HIV-1/2 and HCV. Handle as if capable of transmitting infectious agents; use Universal Precautions when working with this product.
