20X TTE Buffer is offered to researchers who demand consistent, high quality sequencing gels without the band distortion arising from glycerol in the DNA samples. Our TTE Buffer formulation can be used at working concentrations of 0.5X or 1X depending upon your experiment and can directly substitute for TBE buffers. 20X TTE Buffer has a much longer shelf life than 10X TBE, since the latter has a tendency to precipitate on standing. 20X TTE contains 1.78M Tris base, 0.57M Taurine, and 10mM EDTA, and is supplied in 500 ml plastic bottles.
